Five Ways To Transition Into AW18 With Naomi Ross

With so much talk about autumn winter fashion but the weather staying sunny and bright, we thought we should think about how we can transition smoothly from one season to another. So we caught up with fashion blogger Naomi Ross to find out how she does it so effortlessly. Everything Naomi is wearing is available to Click & Collect to your nearest CollectPlus Point too so you can pick it up from one of our 7,000 locations across the UK.

“With the Indian summer slowly moving away and autumn creeping in, I start to get excited about the new season ahead. So much so I’ve already bought 3 coats in the worry they might be sold out if I don’t bite the bullet. Problem is when you realise it’s not actually that cold just yet and you find yourself carrying a heavy coat around with you all day! Anyway! I was given the task by my very trusty friend CollectPlus who I use on a regular basis (btw) to share my 5 ways to transition into AW18 when it’s not actually that cold. So here it goes….

A great lightweight option for this time of the year, I’ve chosen this Nike logo sweater from ASOS (£60) – super comfy and literally works with everything. The mixing of more sporty pieces with more formal pieces seems to be getting more apparent and to be fair I’m embracing it – I mean who doesn’t like to be comfy?

So when it comes to footwear options right now I’m opting for loafers (£65 at ASOS), I have seemed to accumulate quite a few recently. They are what I would call a ‘transitional’ shoe. Primarily these are quite a smart shoe but again playing on a more casual look I’ve added in a sporty touch with these socks. They also look great with denim, wide leg, boyfriend, skinny, you name it they work with everything!

Never leave the door without your sunnies. There are so many colours, shapes, sizes the high street, but I think sometimes to have a classic black pair you can’t go wrong. I normally order various options to try on at home with different outfits, thanks to collect plus it makes it easy for me to return the styles that don’t suit!

I’m all about getting the most out of pieces, give your summer maxi dresses and skirts a re-birth by pairing these with knitwear and ankle boots to give a completely different look. This skirt from ASOS (£30) is the perfect length and colour for transitional style.

I never leave the door without my layered necklaces or stacking rings, it finishes off every outfit. And you’ll be surprised the amount of people that notice.

It’s all about experimenting which is why I’m constantly ordering new things (most weeks! Ooops!) And thanks to CollectPlus being such an easy service to use, it means I won’t miss a delivery. Most of my orders go to my local shop (yes the man knows me by name now!) where I can pick up in the evening when I’m home. Dream.
