There are so many amazing pieces on the Pretty Little Thing site at the moment and we wanted to share with you some of the best that are at a bargain price. We’ve teamed up with Holly Murphy to find out which pieces she loves best and how she styles them.
“Whether you are soon to be jetting off on holiday, have a summer BBQ to attend or just want to make the most of the UK’s warm weather I have browsed the Pretty Little Thing website far and wide to find my ultimate top picks. Everything that I’ve chosen is under £25 and will have your back for whatever summery occasion you have coming your way.
The tops that have stood out to me the most are all very feminine with lovely extra details, for example, a tie section, frill sleeve or a beautiful square neckline which I have been LOVING this season. I have been drawn to very simple and fresh colours with some pastels and the odd yellow hue. I also spotted a beautiful ditsy print cami with the most charming little mustard flowers and very fine polka dots on, along with a blue striped top which would work perfectly with a pair of denim shorts or skirt.
Grey Stripe Tie Front Frill Hem Bralet £15
Would it even be summer if there wasn’t a huge range of shorts to pick from? The shorts I have on in this post are the first pair of white denim shorts I have owned and I love them! Especially the high waistline and raw cut off hem. The style is suitable for every day as they sit at a great place and aren’t too short for comfort! which can often be the case when it comes to denim shorts. I have also linked some blue and pink ones in case you have a range of tops that you are struggling to find a bottom half for. Keeping in tune with my love of stone coloured clothing I have also picked out some slightly more structured belted shorts which would look amazing paired with a blazer or blouse for a more formal gathering.
Pink Elana Ripped Denim Shorts £18
White Fruit Print Floaty Crepe Shorts £12
Moving on to skirts, one of my favourite parts about summer is to be able to wear a skirt in the UK without freezing your legs off. It is seriously exciting, so much so, I couldn’t resist favoring a few that I have found in this post. Recently I have been growing a real love for stone coloured skirts, preferably something with an A-line shape along with any style that incorporates a linen fabric. I have linked a wrap style skirt that would look beautiful on holiday with a white top and basket bag due to its muted gingham pattern. I can just picture it in the beautiful rustic streets of Italy now.
Coral Button Front Linen Skirt £20
Nothing screams ‘summer outfit’ more than a pretty little dress. Whether it be a shift dress, midi, maxi or A line, I have picked out my favorites with some floral prints, shirred straps, layered sleeves and a range of necklines. I have also found some great accessories that will really add that ‘je ne sais quoi’ look to your chosen style.
Black Floral Corset Swing Dress £25
Last but not least, accessories! It would be wrong of me to say that I don’t have a huge obsession with this year’s summer accessories and that I totally don’t have a huge pile of basket bags sat in the corner of my room! But how can you not love the simple rustic style this season has brought to the table when it comes to finding the perfect partners for your outfits? I have linked some delicate layered jewellery, an amazingly priced basket bag, the net bag featured in the post, must have slider options and some super fashionable tie-up sandals.
