I wanted to be one of those super organised mama’s to be, who had everything in place months ahead of time, I really did… but that’s just not my style.
So in these last few days, I’m thanking my lucky stars that the baby hasn’t made an unexpected early arrival and taking advantage of the extra time to score last minute essentials off my lists, stock the freezer with home cooked meals and enjoy a little R&R whenever summer graces us with some sunshine.
After a weekend running errands I picked up my Click and Collect parcels from the local shop around 9.30pm on Sunday evening – that’s more my style! So here’s a look at what was inside…
Isabella Oliver has been a go-to for me during my pregnancy and this strapless tube dress was a last minute addition for summer. Strapless for tanning, stretchy enough for the baby bump and classic black for easy layering. Honestly at this stage clothes, in general, have become a challenge so finding simple, comfortable pieces like this is a total win.
And some bits for the baba of course – the most gorgeously soft clouds from The White Company means I can score ‘baby blanket’ off the list and a little snuggle buddy for the crib too. This elephant might just be his or her first ever toy and that melts my heart (which is mostly a big puddle at this stage anyway!). Absolutely couldn’t resist these stripes from Very and the cute slogan – only a matter of time before there’s a little baby filling out this suit.
Last but not least I treated myself to a little delivery from John Lewis and a Selfish Mother piece which I’ve been coveting for months. Is it cheesy to have a ‘Mother’ tee lying in wait for the big day? I don’t care…
