Refresh Your Wardrobe With Staple Items For Less Than £25

With colder and more blustery weather setting in, summer tops with a light jacket just aren’t cutting it anymore – time for a wardrobe update. But for those who don’t want to splash out too heavily on winter gear just yet, shopping for transitional wear can be a challenge.

To help you keep it warm and stylish without putting the party season budget in jeopardy, we’ve put together a guide to a more affordable autumn, with staple items for less than £25.

We’ve chosen a great range of pieces which are oh-so-versatile so that you can dress them up for a night out, smarten up for work and wear them at the weekend for that bottomless brunch with the girls you’ve had planned for weeks.

Light Pink Dobby Mesh Embroidered Top £20 at River Island

You’ll look like a real Chloé girl in this blush blouse: night out – faux leather leggings and strappy black heeled sandals. Workwear – tuck into a black pencil skirt. Weekend – black skinny jeans and trainers

Decorative Seams Cotton Sweater £9.99 at Mango

Colourful knitwear is a great way to brighten up the dark, cold mornings. This sweater is so reasonable and comes in a wide range of different colours. Night out – high waisted trousers, statement necklace and stiletto court shoes. Workwear – skinny trousers, loafers and oversized jacket. Weekend – ankle boots and jeans.

Grey Split Hem Slim Leg Trousers £19.99 at New Look

Black Floral Print Lattice Back Dress £17.99 at New Look

Grey Pleated Trim Belted Culottes £20 at River Island

Culottes are a great investment because they really do lend themselves to so many different occasions. If you want more information on how to wear culottes watch our video and blog post with Lizzy Hadfield of ShotFromTheStreet here.

Night out – top with ruffles and strappy heeled sandals. Workwear – black polo neck jumper with pumps. Weekend – logo T Shirt.

Avalyn Khaki Wrap Front Tie Side Blouse £18 at Pretty Little Thing

Wrap front blouses are a wardrobe staple and you simply can’t go wrong with this one.

Night out – flared trousers and a choker. Workwear – skinny trousers and loafers. Weekend – jeans and flat over the knee boots.
