Donate to Wrap Up London 2018

Do you have a coat at home that you don’t wear anymore or that is stuffed in the back of your wardrobe and forgotten about? CollectPlus is pleased to be supporting this great cause for the fourth year in a row giving everyone in the UK a chance to donate, wherever they are.

Free up space and do a good deed at the same time by donating your coat to someone in need. For the 8th year running Wrap Up London, a charity initiative run by Hands on London will be rounding up unwanted coats and then distributing them to a variety of homeless, elderly and refugee causes across London.

The number of people in the UK living in crisis is on the rise and with colder temperatures closing in many of these people are exposed to the elements. The simple donation of a spare or unwanted coat not only helps to keep a person warm, it can also help to save their life.

Last year Wrap Up London were asked for 24,000 warm coats. This year, the campaign is going to need at least a similar number, especially warm coats for men. So if you have a father, brother, husband, boyfriend or son with a spare or unwanted coat then go ahead and take them down to a collection point or donate at a local CollectPlus Point.

How to donate?

CollectPlus will be supporting the campaign by providing delivery labels so you can send your donated coat from 7,000 locations across the UK. Send your donations to Wrap up ManchesterWrap up Birmingham or Wrap up London by using a CollectPlus label.

First of all, go to our website to download a label and take care to attach it to your parcel. Collectplus has donated 500 free labels, each label allows you to send up to 10kg of coats so make sure you ask friends and family to donate and bundle them together.

Once you’ve packaged up your coats, take them down to a local CollectPlus Point and we’ll make sure they get to Wrap Up London. Take a look at our packaging guidelines to ensure your donation is delivered safely and intact.
