CollectPlus and Parcel Motel Offer Returns in the Republic of Ireland

Online retailer offers a free returns service to customers for the first time

CollectPlus, the UK’s largest store-based parcel delivery and returns service, has teamed up with Parcel Motel to give Irish online shoppers an easy and convenient way to return unwanted items back to UK retailers., which is part of Shop Direct and has a UK-based fulfilment operation, is the first Irish retailer to offer this service to its customers.

Since launching in July last year by the Republic of Ireland’s largest independent delivery firm, the Nightline Group, the Parcel Motel network of locker terminals has attracted tens of thousands of subscribers eager to obtain fast, convenient and cheaper delivery of goods bought via the internet.

From this month, customers can return unwanted items to the retailer’s returns centre in the UK by dropping off them off at their nearest Parcel Motel locker.

Once registered on the Parcel Motel website, customers can book a locker slot and attach the CollectPlus label to their package, which is provided when their item is shipped to them. With over 100 locker locations throughout the country, Parcel Motel will transfer the parcels to CollectPlus in the UK for delivery back to the returns centre. Customers will receive a returns code and will be able to track the journey of their item on the CollectPlus website.
