With record numbers of parcels delivered on the CollectPlus network this Cyber Week (25th November to the 2nd December), new research reveals the top ten items people would most want in those packages.
CollectPlus, the UK’s largest independent store-based delivery and returns service saw a significant upswing in volume over the now infamous pre-Christmas shopping weekend as millions of shoppers took their Christmas present search online.
Research commissioned by the brand reveals the top Christmas presents Brits are hoping to unwrap this year, with almost a third (30%) hoping to escape the cold weather and Christmas stress with a holiday.

Stylish British women want to lead the way in the fashion stakes with new clothes (31%), jewellery (29%), shoes, boots (22%) and make-up (15%) all making their top ten wish list. Sticking with tradition other gifts they are hoping to find under the Christmas tree include perfume (28%) and chocolate (22%). When it comes to British men, they appear to be just as fashion obsessed with one in five (20%) hoping for new clothes and 14% dreaming of new shoes and boots. However, the latest tech is equally important to the boys with brand new shiny tablets (18%), smartphones (18%) and games consoles (12%) also making their top ten.

Almost half (43%) of fashion-conscious 18-24s are hoping to unwrap new clothes as are Londoners which was the only region not to desire a holiday most of all, with 29% voting for new clothes as their ideal Christmas present. Whilst 15% of over 65s are hoping for a smartphone and 16% a new tablet.
